Well, I wasn't involved with this implementation so I can't really answer that. I wouldn't encourage its use, too. There were two people involved with it: Jason Nelson and Andrei Pamula (if I remember it right). Jason is pretty busy with his things, and Andrei seems to have lost interest on the yaml port.
