David,   If you want to use Crimson as a parser then set it first in your classpath due to:   http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/win32/classpath.html (see the last section).   I don’t know Visual Age so I can’t tell you about possible issues even though I doubt it.   You could also bring only the Apache Serializer classes and build it in your VC project. Hi David,   You can perfectly use another Parser such Crimson but you also need a serializer. Castor is using by default the Apache serializer distributed in the xerces jar.
