I didn't know that such a transducer (tri-mode) existed - I have one for depth and another for speed/temp. In any case, mine are mounted below the galley (1982 Traditional - port side) just inside the access door, athwarthship - depth on the outside (I think). It doesn't really matter other than knotmeter needs a laminar flow, so don't put anything ahead of it or too close beside it.
