I did some surfing on the
net about green being a bad luck color on sail boats (something
near and dear to my heart since a major accent color on Cheri Lynn is
hunter green!)..and the closest I've come about that particular superstition is
that sailors believe anything that is colored green (a color of the
sea) is likely to be returned TO the sea (as in under the
waves.....)
Maybe since Cap'n Hubby is
half Irish (and half Italian) it will cancel out any bad
luck.......
