I have
a full batten loose footed main that came with the boat. Its only 5 years
old and I will have it for a while. I race and would love to have one
with only 2 battens, they are much more adjustable with cunningham and
outhaul.
If
you're mostly cruising, I think the full batten main is better. The
battens keep the sail from flogging as much and it should last
longer.
We
