I also have to say that the mod to the transom to fit a larger outboard
is really a minor surgery. I did it by myself in less than a couple of
hours. Including pulling the engine to a floating dock behind the
boat, cutting the transom with a woefully underpowered jig saw, filling the
void with some epoxy to try to keep the core dry, and remounting the
engine. Again by myself, a couple of extra bodies would make it really
easy.
