Solid indeed...

On a related note, I just put in two new thru-hulls for Raymarine ST-40
bi-data, used the old holes that were there for the original instruments,
and, as has been suggested on the board before, HUGE amounts of 5200.
Extremely messy (won't ever use 5200 without gloves and protection again --
was peeling it off for a week), but splashed two days ago and not a drop of
water...

Bottom line: even if the original hole is a bit bigger, at least with the
raymarine transducers that have a very wide lip around them, you can get
away with using the same hole and not adding any glass.

Yes.

The hull is solid.
The deck has a plywood core.

Can anyone confirm that a 76 C-27 hull is laid up solid glass and
resin
with NO core
before I saw a hole for a knot meter sender?

Thanks,
