Henry,
I got replacement trim rings from Catalina Direct in Teak - they were
a perfect fit for my 1976. My coaming boxes do have drain holes back
into the cockpit. But I suspect yours may be different - mine are
not plywood, they are fiberglass. I don't know if the coaming boxes
were an option - it sounds like yours may have been added after the
fact. If they were an option, you might be able to find out from the
factory whether your boat was equipped with them - other listers have
been able to get the original option sheets with their hull number.

I haven't worked with Starboard, but it is reportedly easy to work
with if you have decent woodworking tools and skills.

Any tips on replacing coaming boxes? I have temporarily replaced the
original ? teak and plywood with duck tape. I love the look but miss
the storage. These things need some drainage - something missing
from the ones I removed - except for the drainage into the cabin.
Has anyone acquired those offered from catalina direct? They look
distinctly more round ended than the rectangular holes in my
coaming. I was thinking of fabricating some. Has anyone worked much
with Starboard?
