Craig,
On my 1978 C27 3692 the bottom of the cradle that
supports the engine blocked the water that dripped from the shaft.
Like
a small dam.
In the ridge of the cradle that is glassed to the
hull floor I drilled
a weep hole. The water now passes under
the the cradle floor
and follows the hull bottom to the bilge. However,
the engine was out being overhauled, the cave was empty. You drill from the
stern to forward.
