once you've signed the title, yes, but not prior in case something bad happens to the boat...maybe even wait for the new owner to take it away...or soemething for what its worth, the DNR office in Dundalk is usually not too busy to take phone calls and I have found thenm to be helpful folks in regard to your registration...I'd let them know you no longer are responsible for those reg. numbers.
