Biminis
Patrick, I got a bimini for BayBird about
four summers ago at a Boater's World near my home. It's a 3-bow
aluminum frame with a white vinyl top. At about $300 it was way cheaper
than SS and Sunbrella; not quite as "shippy" but it's blessed shade for the
Ches Bay summers. I got the 84" width; height (I think) was 42." I
mounted it on the side deck just over the coaming in the vicinity of the
winches. This position clears the boom, the backstay, and the end-boom
mainsheet, and it give me "nearly" standing head room I (6') just have to
duck my head a little. Hope this helps.
