David, If Mike is not interested, I would like to talk w/ you further about the
rails. I have a Katrina damaged Cat 27 (6115) in New Orleans.

Mike, I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. I've been out of the area
on business... I've also been looking high and low for the great detailed
pictures I took of my bow and stern pulpits. I can't find them! The pulpits
are in a storage facility, and if you really need to see pics I'll get them.
But if you want to save me the trouble, I'll tell you this: the bow pulpit is
the nice angled bow pulpit, not the older-looking rounded one. It's really in
great shape; no problems at all. It has welded stays on the top rail for
lifelines and bolted lower stays so the top lifeline can be lowered when you're
using a jib that's tacked at deck level. It's set up for two lifelines, at 12"
and 24" from the deck. The stern pulpit is fine, no bends or anything, but the
two forward feet have been re-welded for some reason and show corrosion. I'd
call it rust. It's ugly, in my mind, and could be dealt with in several ways:
reweld the feet with the right rod; paint the welds(?) or powdercoat them; or
cut off the old feet and add a pair of cast stainless 1" tubing angled feet. I
could be persuaded to throw in a pair of brand new angled feet on the deal if
you want to go that route. I also have a stainless hinged swim ladder with
brackets if you're interested in that--also in great condition.

I can put both of these onto the same pallet and ship that way, with padded
material over them, or I can crate them (which would probably add to the
shipping cost). If I wrap them together, I could take them to the Greyhound
Package Express here in Rockford if you want to try that route.

I'd ask $425 for the two pulpits, and $75 extra for the ladder. I won't charge
to wrap them all together, but if you want them crated I'd bill for the
materials plus $40 for the effort involved. And I'd need you to pay whatever
the freight cost.

Is this better than ordering new from Catalina? It's your call. Just let me
know, and tell me how much of a hurry you're in.
