Lesley,

The piece that's missing (the extrusion that goes over the entire length of the 
forestay) is what determines whether it will fit a tall rig or standard rig.  
If you look at the manual 
(http://www.sailcdi.com/sailpdf/FF4&6%20manual%207_06.pdf), the picture on page 
11 shows what I have (the black plastic and stainless cup).

I have the complete bottom to a CDI FF4/FF6 furler, brand new, never been used. 
 The only other part needed is the extrusion that covers the forestay and its' 
internal halyard.
