I'm glad to report the current wild fire data shows that Jim Hildinger's home is not among those listed as lost. A locally assembled map shows the fire was within a couple a hundred yards of both Jim's home and Angora Lakes Resort but both appear safe for now.
My address for Kurt Rasmussen puts him about 3 miles east of the fire outside the evacuation zone. We can see the smoke from here so anyone in the Tahoe basin feels it. Lake Tahoe routinely cycles through calm to 40 knot winds on the lake over a 4 -5 day period. By my count they have until tomorrow afternoon to get this one contained.
