Sitting in Solomons Island Maryland
Race down Friday night with 9 Catalinas, all finished 43+ mile race within 25 minutes at an average speed between 6 and 6.5 knots. Yesterday sailed 3 races at 13 - 18 knots.? Catalina 27 (not us) won the class for the day! Today went out and in 18-20 blew out the halyard turning blocks.? But a 27 (different one!) made 3rd in class. Tommorow 5-10.? 2 races, boat's fixed. Doesn't get much better than this! To think, the IC27A thinks that we don't race!
