I also have the anti-glare coating and would definitely do so again. I tend to be rough on glasses and have not had a problem. Get several of the wiping cloths to store in various places (i.e., car, boat, home). Night vision is seriously improved.

The coating is still pretty decent, and I'm rough on glasses too. The only thing I am very careful about is to use the special cloth to clean them; no quickies with my t shirt, paper towels, etc. If I don't have it around, I carefully wash it with soap and blot (not wipe) with a cloth towel. They were too damn expensive to replace otherwise. I also hadcustom clip ons made for them right away (50 bucks 15 minutes, they are wonderful) and they protect them as well, getting the first hit of salt water and suntan lotion, and Ican be wipe them clean in a pinch with whatever I have around. The coating is similar to the coating used on camera lenses. But, seems that this coating is hard to clean. While I'm out sailing, I sweat, get splashed, go swimming, and covered with sunscreen. I wonder if any of you sailors have gotten such glasses and have either good or bad experiences with them? John Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Yahoo!
