I have one. I bought it used on eBay, so it wasn't as expensive as new. Still, overall, I'm not happy with it. Whether it is just my unit (possibly defective?) or whether it reflects a basic design flaw, I don't know. But it seems to take forever to cool the cabin down. For the money, I'd recommend going with a cheap 5,000 BTU window unit and set in in your companionway. I have a dock mate who does this. He cut a piece of plywood to fit snugly around his a/c unit, and a second removable piece above it so he can step out over the unit without having to remove the whole thing. That's the route I would go. But since I already have the Cruiseair, and since I don't use it more than 2 or 3 times a season, I'll stay with what I have. My two cents....
