I decided on Interlux Perfection (2-part polyurethane) after initially buying Brightside and then reading about the much better wear characteristics of the two-part paint as opposed to the simpler one-part. My results so far have made the decision a good one; I'm walking around a lot on my cockpit and deck while I finish up the rest of the refit, and when I wash off the dirt I don't see a trace of abrasion. I added some #1 silica to the first coat for the non-skid areas and then gave them a second coat of non-sandy paint over the top, and they seem fine under bare feet. I saw this routine recommended in a book-can't recall which one-but I haven't tested this in the water yet.

Any recommendation for a paint? I was thinking about a polyurethane from Interlux. Art Snapper #6610 South Haven, MI
