Joe - Cruisers are always welcome in Fleet 8. The problem is that we rarely do anything that is cruising oriented. We have even changed the executive board seat from Cruising Chair to Cruising (Social) Chair. While we don't have a lot of cruising events (we usually do one per year at some point) we do have a lot of social events. One of those is at Screwpile on Sunday nights. We put together a pre-event party party. Meaning before we go over to the real race party (which is also a real blast) we have our own little get together. Last year I think we had about 25 people. We also do an awards party. This year we are going back to doing some seminars that would benefit cruisers. Peter can probably elaborate about the specifics of the seminars. We are going to do a raft up of sorts at Tom Walsh's house on May 9th after the Region 2 Spring Classic up on the Magothy. And the parties on Saturday nights at Miles River in May. Every Wednesday night at Davis's is also an unofficial gathering that usually attracts 15 or so fleet members. Chris D toy box eastport, md
