Correction -- stamped in the prop is 12RH12 John In a message dated 3/10/2008 2:16:50 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Paul I have a 5411 on my 83. According to the operation and maintenance manual that came with the boat, the tranny is a Hurth and has a reduction of 2:1. I am currently using a three bladed prop, specifics unknown. (Boat is on the hard and I do not have easy access.) I also found a two bladed prop on the boat that the previous owner left. (currently being used as a paper weight) I have never used it. Stamped into this prop are 2RH12. My max speed with the three blade prop is around 6 kts, RPM I do not know because boat is not properly equipped. Hope this helps John Jennings Middle River, MD In a message dated 3/10/2008 12:11:28 P.M. I hope that it will be possible to repitch our existing 12 x 8 prop to use the additional power. Questions for Universal 5411 powered C27 owners: What diameter and pitch of prop are you using? If possible, what is the rear ratio of your tranny? In our case the Petter has a 2:1 tranny, the Universal has 1.8:1 gears. How well does your system work? ie What's your max speed and rpm? Does anyone know what dimension prop was factory installed on Universal 5411 equipped C27s?
