for Cat 27 OD, headfoils yes, peels no 8.???????????? All jibs shall be fitted with hanks, all of which when the sail is set as a jib, must be attached to the forestay. Head foils and sewn luff ropes may be used in lieu of hanks. Only one halyard may be used to hoist and lower head sails. Non-overlapping jibs may be fitted with battens. Chris, I think the last boat we had with one was Olivia - of course.? The roller furler is not a "standard" feature of the Catalina 27 design.? PHRF should give a credit if fitted. On a different topic, the Fleet 8 approved shape is the Comp-u-keel "improved" shape. You are the one that raced the C27 PHRF, but are you seriously saying that I could race my POS C27 without the tuff luff foil vs. a boat that had the equipment to do a peel and say we were equal? Having the luff system implies that you will be peeling.? Not gonna happen by IC27 rules and bylaws. ?
