I also would be interested in this. I sail a 1971 Standard Rig, OB, dinette
model, hull #166. What number is yours? My hatch rails are the originals, I
am sure, but the fit of the sliding hatch is sloppy. In fact, once while
trailering the boat in a moderate crosswind, the hatch was lifted completely
out of the hatch boards. (Maybe the hatch curvature needs to be studied for
keel design.) Fortunately, the mast was just above that and prevented the
hatch from flying off alongside the highway. It simply ended up in the
cockpit. Not a pleasant experience, however, as when I first noticed it
missing I spent several trips backtracking and looking along the freeway before
climbing up and seeing it in the cockpit. So, yes, I too am interested in
modified hatchboards. I know some of you have fabricated new ones extending
farther underneath the hatch flange, but there may be other designs I am not
familiar with.

Dave, there is a site where you can track planes by their N numbers
(http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_inquiry.asp )! My dad owned a
plane several decades ago and for his 50th wedding anniversary I did an
extensive web page of his and my mom's life. Pictures then and now. I
tracked down the plane and persuaded the current owner to shoot some images
of it. Those images ended up as prints that he treasured until he passed
away.
