I have a windshield attached to a bimini. We throw a mosquito net over
this and have no difficulties sleeping in the cockpit in the summer on
the lower Chesapeake bay. The mosquito net is queen size. I have mid
boom sheeting and a large bimini that covers the cockpit from the
backstay forward to almost the cabin top.

Between the windshield and the mosquito net it has made anchoring out
much more enjoyable and doubled the space available especially when
sitting at anchor in bad weather.

Subject: catalina27-talk: Full Cockpit Enclosure

Does anyone have a full cockpit enclosure with screens? We've been
interested in a bimini for a while and I realized that a full enclosure
may allow us to spread out a bit at night (kids could sleep above,
maybe?) Is it hard to get on and off? Does the bimini fold back to
sail (we can't stand under our mast). What other configurations are
there?

Thanks

Shana
