I have the Sherwood raw water pump on my Universal diesel and I am having trouble changing the impeller. It goes on fine, but I can not push the impeller back far enough on the drive shaft to get the split ring back on. Anyone ever have trouble with this? I wondered if the shaft had wandered back a bit, since I can feel some play in it and the owner's manual suggests that the shaft can move when replacing the impeller. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, James
