Maybe a wrench is the way to go

Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: Emergency Tiller when you have a wheel?

Bill
My boat came with an emergency tiller. It is a regular tiller only shorter
(just long enough to turn from side to side without hitting the wheel). I keep
the right sized wrench attached (taped) to the tiller so that I can install it
quickly if the need arises (fortunately I never had to use it.....). I keep
the tiller with the wrench attached on the shelf in the port cockpit storage
compartment so I not only can get it quickly, but I know right where it is all
the time.
