Lance Do not remember the length of the bolts. In my boat there was a void under the fiberglass. Just make sure the threads on the lag bolts, when tight, fully engage the fiberglass or another way of explaining make sure the threads extend to the head of the bolt. John

Several years ago the lag bolts in my head had over time made the holes larger and the head could not be secured. I filled the holes with Marine Tex, redrilled and secured head with lag bolts.
