As Bob mentions it's no big deal other than "horsing" it forward to be able to get a lifting line on it through through the hatch. I did it on another boat. I had the yard crane lift it out and drop it into a wood cradle that I had made onto the back of my station wagon and took it home, skidded it off the car and rebuilt it. I think it cost me about $35.

Hello and congratulations on your purchase.
I don't need the engine, but removing it (sounds) pretty simple. It may still have the prop shaft attached, and it will have to be disconnected. There should be four bolts holding it to the floor. After it is disconnected, it needs to be removed <G>. It only weighs a couple hundred pounds <VBG>. A block-and-tackle from the boom can be used to lift it out of the cabin. A couple 2x4's can be used as tracks for when it slides forward out of the engine room before being lifted out. Obviously, having the marina or someone else do it is easiest! It might cost a couple hundred to do it, though. Bob Mann
