John Had the same problem as you with the ice-box being just about useless for keeping things cold. A bag of ice would only last a few hours especially if the engine was running. What I did was purchase several panels of a product advertised as a sound proofing ( I think I purchased them from a company called "Sailing Solutions") in boat engine compartments. These panels although fairly expensive have a sticky side and a aluminum covered side. I pealed off the protective paper and pasted the panels onto the side of the ice-box. They stuck easily. I then sealed the ends together using Duct Tape. The solution is not perfect but it works. Even with the engine running, a bag of ice lasts me the better part of the whole day. If I am just sailing, that same bag easily lasts overnight. Andy Eanniello Slow "MO" tion #6038 Nyack, NY
