There was a discussion of some of these issues earlier this year. It started
when someone asked about putting hundreds of pounds of lead in the bow. I
was on the side of NOT doing that, but I cannot say which side prevailed, so
you could check the archives and judge for yourself.
I have exactly the same situation you have, Henry & Lynn (A-4 and 9.9
outboard both). Empty, she is about half an inch low at the stern. I would
say you might as well just live with it.
If the truth be known, the same squat exists in a standard C-27 when you
fill the cockpit. You can easily observe this if you just look closely at
other boats going by. The simplest cure is to put people forward, either on
the rail or forward on deck if conditions suit.
