Bill, welcome aboard! If you only enjoy your C-27 1/10 o how much I enjoy mine,
you'll love her to death. My best friend and I hae our "geek night" aboard her
every couple of weeks. We BBQ, and play table war games (yes, the table is big
enough to play comfortably) and then sail the next day, and we always have a
blast! I am never so happy as when I'm aboard the Serenity with the sails
billlowing. Enjoy your Cat, and keep us posted on her restoration!

Hello Gentlemen,

New member here, I hope you don't mind me jumping into the conversation.

I just moved up to a 1984 C-27 from a 1973 Oday-23 two weeks ago.
Unfortunately my Oday was sold after only a week on craige's list and the 27 is
land-locked for the rest of this season, so feeding my sailing addiction will
have to be put on hold until next spring.  I picked up the 27 from a person at
my marina for a deal that I just couldn't refuse.

Refurbishing older fiberglass boats and selling them to move up has been a
hobby of mine for seven years.  Hopefully the C-27 will be my last project for
many years to come.  This boat is the perfect size for the Admiral and I and it
has everything that we've been looking for in a boat.  We both caught the
sailing bug and the only thing our last boat lacked was enough room to enjoy
our weekend getaways.

I have a small web site with some pictures of the new C-27 on it.  Feel free to
check it out and make sure to look at some of my other boats that I've finished
over the years.

HAPPY SAILING,

“Nice” is such a subjective term,  I find that when I am on my boat I am
relaxed.  My mind clears of other distractions and I am at ease.  Sure there
are times when things ramp up tension and stressful, but even those are less
stressful while onboard as compared to thinking about them later.  This is true
even when I am just down working on the boat.  Of course sailing makes it a
more relaxing experience.
