For the 27 I agree with the aft traveler since most times you are out with less then capable crew, I found it best to have the main close at hand just incase sailing on SF bay you get a lot of just incase and with inexperienced crew you get even more. but once again this is all personal preference I would suggest if at all possible go out on one with the coach roof traveler and see if this fits your needs. On my boat I did though change the blocks to Garhauer with an higher purchase this greatly improved performance and general sail-ability. M McVey
