Dear Friends:

Adam continues to make good progress, though we had a bit of a set back
today. They removed the ventilator and he breathed on his own for about
four hours. However, after they broke up some phlegm they discovered his
throat was beginning to swell. They said this is not unusual and decided to
revent him. He is mostly breathing on his own but unable to talk. They are
giving him steroids to reduce swelling.

During the time he was off the ventilator he was awake off and on. When
asked to tell us his name he said, "Adam." When we pointed to Lisa and
asked, "Who is she?" He responded, "Mom." When asked who Dave was he
rolled his eyes...so apparently he knew who he was, too.

They will reevaluate tomorrow about when to take him off the ventilator.

Remember the Bailey's as the funeral for their son, Jonathan (Jonny) is
tomorrow. A picture of both Adam and Jonny are below which is so them!

Please continue to pray for Adam regarding his throat, his being able to
breathe on his own, and that the preliminary tests about the his lacking any
brain trauma or injury are proved out.

We have heard that the Maryland Legislature is thinking about cutting back
on the Medvac program. If you live in Maryland please contact your state
representatives about continued the funding for this important program.
Adam wouldn't have made it without the helicopter. We believe they were a
part of God's provision for him and believe this important program should be
maintained.

We thank Christ for being the Great Physician.

Dave, Lisa and Family
