Dave,

I've been swamped lately with a new job and business travel and I'm catching up today on personal email from about 3 weeks back.  I've read most of your updates now and it sounds like Adam's recovery is taking a real positive turn.  We're just up the road from you in the Jarrettsville area (although I really only live there on weekends lately) so please let us know whatever we might be able to do to help out.  We are certainly keeping Adam, your family, and the Bailey family in our prayers.

Best Regards,

Chris and Sharon

Subject: catalina27-talk: Adam Tierney Update 10/28/08

Dear Friends:

A good day for Adam.  They got him up out of bed and with them supporting him he was able to carry some of his own weight as he walked (shuffled) to a chair and sat down.  He spent an hour doing physical therapy and then four hours sleeping all in the chair...five hours total.  Once Adam got into the chair all of his numbers looked great.

He did wake up when the ear, nose, and throat specialist came into the room.  When the doctor began talking Adam opened his eyes.  When he mentioned Adam missing teeth Adam's eyes got super wide like, "I'm missing teeth?!"

Keep praying for continued healing, the successful weaning from the ventilator, and no infections!

We are still at the place of no visitors outside of the family but we hope this status will change soon.

Tomorrow marks two weeks since the accident.  Please keep the Bailey's in your prayers, too.
