Friends,

An OK day today. A slight forward day for Adam. An x-ray showed a couple
of the bronchial sacs had collapsed. This is a common problem and they
believe they may have been rushing to get Adam off the ventilator because he
has
been doing so good. So they did not remove the breathing tube. We like the
fact that they check and double check before they do anything like removing
breathing tubes!

However, the cardiologists may remove one or both of the chest tubes tonight
or in the morning. The discharge is minor and becoming more clear.

Adam is down to just three IVs which is great. He has lost much of the
excess fluids but still has a bit to go. Progress keeps being made...just not
as
fast as we want. However, we have a great deal of confidence in the staff
at Shock Trauma.

Thank you for your continued prayers that Adam's body will heal without
infections and that he will be successfully weaned from the ventilator soon.

There is an account of the Apostle Paul healing on Malta that has been on my
mind lately, ...Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on
him and healed him. 9When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the
island came and were cured (Acts 28:8-9, NIV). The word "healed" refers to a
quick miraculous healing and the word "cured" is the word we get our word
"therapy." The latter refers to a medical process. Since the physician Luke
was
with them we see how God used both prayer and medicine to bring about healing
in the lives of the people there. That is our continued prayer that God will
use prayer and medicine to bring about Adam's healing.

May God Richly Bless You,

Dave and Lisa Tierney
