Dear Friends: Adam has had a good day so far. I thought I would do a quick follow-up to the update sent out this morning. Barring any complications, Adam is off the ventilator. The oxygen mask setting has been reduced from 48% to 40% and his saturation level remains at 100%. He is still agitated but not as much as the wee hours this morning when he pulled out his feeding tubes and IVs. He has been resting well this afternoon.
This morning he used the walker to take a few steps and did great. At this moment the plan is to put him on the list to go Kernan which could happen as early as this weekend. There everyone believes he will make quick progress to getting home. Continue praying for the previous list sent. Also, our other children Aryana (17), Ian (15), and Conor (12) who have all been handling the stresses of this journey in their own individual ways and for the most part have done very nicely. Pray for us as we work at making sure they get some our attention and time, too. Again, thank you for your kind words, cards, emails, prayers...God has used you to provide our family with continued encouragement. Proverbs 16:24 (NIV) says, "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." You certainly have provided sweetness and healing to our lives.
