Thanks for the link.  I had never heard the story before and actually
thought Chris was razzing me a little for my choice of boat name.  

On that topic, I hope that I haven't committed some unforgivable sin by
pilfering the Stars & Stripes moniker.  Would appreciate hearing other's
views on boat naming etiquette. To be honest, I felt a little funny using a
name with such a recognizable history.  But, the boat already had a red,
white and blue theme going.  The name just fit the boat to a tee.  The old
name just didn't fit, me or the boat.
