Thanks for the link. I had never heard the story before and actually thought Chris was razzing me a little for my choice of boat name.
On that topic, I hope that I haven't committed some unforgivable sin by pilfering the Stars & Stripes moniker. Would appreciate hearing other's views on boat naming etiquette. To be honest, I felt a little funny using a name with such a recognizable history. But, the boat already had a red, white and blue theme going. The name just fit the boat to a tee. The old name just didn't fit, me or the boat. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of tim ford Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2008 8:14 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: New Genoa/Stars and Stripes as a follow up, the whole Dennis Connor/CF27 story can be found here: http://www.galeforcesailing.com/2007/12/06/winter-blues/ by Peter Isler. tf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Ray - > > There were some rumors a few years back about Dennis Connor buying and > tricking out a C27.
