Friends,

Adam is at Good Samaritan and has begun rehab. Mostly, things have gone
well. It is difficult to adjust from the hustle and bustle of Shock Trauma to
the quiet...especially during the four day Thanksgiving weekend...of Good
Sam's. Adam arrived Wednesday around 11a and got settled in to his room and
met
doctors and nurses.

Adam is still dealing with some nausea and vomiting but is also eating
better. Before leaving Shock Trauma they changed his trach to a metal one
which
does not cause any gagging (a good thing). One of us will stay with Adam all
the time until he is healthier and more independent.

He has begun his rehab work and all think he has made good progress since
evaluations on Thursday.

Over the last few days many friends and family have stopped by to see Adam
which has lifted his spirit.

Please continue to pray...

• God strengthen Adam's body and help it to recover
• Discernment for the doctors, nurses, and the variety of therapists working
with Adam and getting a plan together
• Adam's vocal cords to become healthy and fully functioning...very important
for not just speaking but eating and drinking
• For those new friends still back at Shock Trauma: Bill, Jeff, and Jake
(Jake is a young man involved in a head on collision when another car crossed
the
yellow line...he has some of the same injuries Adam had.
• That we remain healthy and strong as we seek to care for Adam

We are so thankful to God for the progress he has made in Adam's life not
just since the accident but for all his life. We certainly have grown to
appreciate even more Adam's strength and tenderness as he has dealt with the
loss of
his friend, the severity of his injuries, the difficulty of the journey back
to health, and the constant steps forward and backward and forward again.

Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)    You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we thank God for you!
Dave and Lisa
