Friends:

Here we are at Shock Trauma. Adam has had a pretty good day.
Yesterday they ran CATscans, blood gasses, x-rays, and cultures. The CATscan
shows
improvement in all of his internal organs and has mostly ruled out
pancreatitis. Gasses and X-rays look good. X-rays do show aspiration but
that is no
surprise. We are still waiting on all cultures but one preliminary shows a
possible development of pneumonia but not conclusive yet. If they develop
they
will quickly act on this. Adam's lungs are clearing up very nicely from the
aspiration and his breathing is stronger and cough very productive.

He does have an impacted bowel which they are aggressively treating...we
need to say no more about that!

He had Occupational and Physical therapies today and they were very
pleased with the progress he has made. They have decided to make it their goal
to
have him physically ready for home in about a week's time (maybe a few extra
days); however, and more importantly, he has to be ready medically for home,
too. While this sounds great we will still take things one day at a time
because
this journey has certainly had many twists and turns.

Please continue to pray...
     • Adam develop no infections/pneumonia
     • His body grow stronger (and the PT and OT specialist be right)
     • For our shock trauma friends and their families (Bill, Jeff, and Jake)
     • For God's blessings on those attending Adam

God has certainly blessed us in so many ways through your prayers, kind
words, and thoughtful acts.

Dave and Lisa
