Never single-handed your boat in16-18 knots, during a race? I'm looking for
any leverage I can get.

That... and we used to laugh at the Tripp 36 fore deck that wore a bicycle
helmet.. but they did have a bad mast man for a while!

I obviously must not know how to sail my boat. I've never been on my knees
while sailing.

there are pads for knee paddling surfboards I would look into these since
those made for skating are designed to slide, the pads for long boarding are
made of neoprene (wetsuit material) and are quite comfortable and can hide
under your clothes.

Go to your local skate board shop and try some crash pads on. You can get
really comfy ones for under $30.

I wouldn't bother with sports departments like discount stores like Target
and Walmart , most of the stuff is cheaply made and doesn't stay in place.

    Hey gang,

I'm tired of getting my knees all banged up when bouncing around the
cockpit. Anyone have suggestions on the best type of knee pads to get?

    Thanks,

    Bob
