I mounted mine a few years ago to one of the bolts on the lower starboard side of the flywheel cover. The gas tank on my 1975 is on the starboard side of the engine and this seemed like a convenient location to mount the pump because it gives me easy access and allows for easy visual inspection of hose and pump leaks. I only used one bolt but the mounting is sturdy.

I am retrofitting an electric fuel pump to my Atomic4. Should I get the bracket to mount the pump to the motor or move it closer to the tank using a fixed mount? Any pros/cons to either? I got a Facet pump and it reccomends that it ast as a pusher pump - does it make a difference ?

Thanks

Derek.-
