I have to agree. Any hosting service that doesn't allow me to remove uploaded content looks extremely fishy to me.
That's the question: is PyPI like a web hosting service? Or is PyPI something else, or something else as well?
Is wikipedia a hosting service, or something else? Should it be keeping old revisions of documents?
Is Debian a hosting service, or something else? Should it be keeping old revisions of packages?
I think this list has already discussed the issue of people using PyPI as a dependency for deployment in production, and recommended the use of private package mirrors.
Why should these package mirrors have to be private? Why can't we share one? Regards, Martijn _______________________________________________ Catalog-SIG mailing list [email protected] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/catalog-sig
