Dreamhost has been a nightmare for me this week. I have a few clients with CGI sites that use Class::DBI. At some point recently they upgraded Perl and failed to install the prerequisites for some modules, such as that one. I had sites go down on different servers there, and it took several days of sending them a test script and showing them what was wrong before it was fixed. I wouldn't run a business site there.
