I liked this one the most of the original designs. However, I now prefer Tobias' version at http://www.funkreich.de/catalyst/. One suggestion, I suggest incorporating a list of recent blogs/news as in Simon's design. To me, that indicates the "freshness", for lack of a better word, of the project and its community.
