I could update the wiki, but since I'm reporting everything
second-hand (wasn't involved with any of it other than the vote), I'm
not sure I'm the best person for it.

I was hoping I could get us started with this thread, and more
knowledgeable folks could either cut-and-paste in what's accurate and
update what's not.

- switched the code to Maven
- there is some interaction with Geronimo project, that will
hopefully become much closer once we have a working JPA provider, and
Geronimo starts JEE5 work full time.
