I birded the woods behind my house today. The highlight was a brief glimpse of a HERMIT THRUSH. I saw a REDTAIL fly down a field, calling as he flew. I flushed out a single COMMON MERGANSER on the Groton Gun Club pond. There were also a couple large robin flocks.
