Two Field Sparrows are visiting my feeder area this evening-- the first I've seen this season. Nice to see them up close, in bright plumage (reddish caps, white eye-rings, gray face, pink bill (giving them the most wide-eyed "cute" look of our sparrows, I think). They join the YB Sapsucker (drumming now in the front yard,) Chipping Sparrow, and Purple Finch who all arrived this weekend.
