Out with my camera this morning, I heard (but did not see) Rusty Blackbirds
singing at Goetchius Preserve on Flatiron Road, Caroline. Also, has Wood Thrush
been reported yet in the basin? I heard a brief snatch of distant Wood
Thrush-ish song from the woods at the southern end of Hammond Hill Road. I
suppose it could have been Hermit Thrush but it was so brief ("lee-o-lay" just
once) that I could not confirm.
