I spent a couple of hours at Myers Park this afternoon and found a nice assortment of birds including a GREEN HERON, a BELTED KINGFISHER, a SPOTTED SANDPIPER, a pair of PURPLE MARTINs, and several BARN, TREE and ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWs. The show-stealer, however, was flock of ~20 impossibly cute baby COMMON MERGANSERs:
