Susie & I got off fairly early today, stopped for a great breakfast at the Dryden Hotel, then continued to Summerhill area. We walked Hoag and Dresser Rds. Highlight was 3 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS (2 singing). Also encountered were 3 WINTER WRENS, BLUE-HEADED VIREO, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, several MAGNOLIA AND BLACKBURNIAN WARBLERS, a N. WATERTHRUSH, HERMIT THRUSH, SCARLET TANAGER (Susie's favorite), and Queen-of-the Prairie. I thought the deer flies only mildly annoying, but Susie got a plethora of cuss words off her chest.
