Those of you on the east side of the lake may pooh-pooh this report because you
see BROWN CREEPERS all the time. But in ten years on the west side , today is
the first time we have seen one. It was working up and down a big maple in our
side yard in mid-afternoon today. The tree has a suet feeder hanging in it,
but the BC was no closer than a yard to the feeder. Exciting. Well, on a cold
day in January, one takes one's excitement where one finds it. YEE-hah.
